Blue Sky Parade

Here I lay...

a lazy day.
I came here to get away.
My scheduled plans are put aside,
Since it’s time for the blue sky parade.
I gaze at elaborate floats all made with white carnations.
Slight tones of gray show the wear of the journey.
Many resemble cuddly creations of Mother Nature.
Swans, bunnies, and lambs are amongst a few.
The parade moves by steadily
producing pleasure with serenity.
Into the distance they travel,
Never halting or slowing
for any admiration.
Just...
			...a wonderful moment 
      				 	on a mellow, summer day
